What Photon is

Photon is Aftershoot's free raw editor, with an AI coach that explains edits as you make them.

When Photon may suit you better

If you are learning to edit and want an app that teaches as you go, Photon is built for that. Proofsheet is free too, and adds culling, Lightroom presets and sidecars, and delivery straight to a client gallery.

How Proofsheet is different

  • Free, with no account

No trial, no subscription, on Mac, Windows and iPhone.

  • Every control you expect

Tone, colour, curves, masks and layers, for raw files from every major camera.

  • Your presets come with you

Import Lightroom and Camera Raw presets and profiles.

  • Culling built in

Keep or set aside with a key, or let AI make the first pass.

  • Originals never touched

Edits are kept beside your files.

Trying it alongside

  1. Download Proofsheet for Mac, Windows or iPhone. No account needed.
  2. Open a folder from a recent shoot. Your originals are never changed.
  3. Import your Lightroom and Camera Raw presets.
  4. Cull, edit and export, or deliver to a Meridian gallery.
